At the conference IFIP SEC 2021, Christian Burkert is presenting the paper “Compiling Personal Data and Subject Categories from App Data Models”.
Together with co-authors Maximilian Blochberger and Hannes Federrath, Christian Burkert has developed a procedure, that systematically identifies personal data processed in a software application based on a data model, assigns them to the respective categories of data subjects and summarises them for compliance documentation. The procedure requires additional expert knowledge about the software architecture of an application in order to carry out semantic evaluations. The authors test the procedure of this semi-automatic process by means of a case study.
